Every UGC platform describes itself as a marketplace, and they work very differently underneath. Some hold a vetted roster and match you to it. Some are self-serve boards where you post and sort through applicants. Some are effectively agencies with a dashboard. The label tells you almost nothing about which will suit the way you actually buy content.
These comparisons try to be useful rather than flattering, which means being specific about where we are the wrong choice. If you need one video next week with no involvement, a managed service will serve you better than any marketplace including ours. If you need content regularly and want to build relationships with creators who learn your product, that is where a marketplace earns its keep.
Fee structure deserves more attention than it usually gets, because it determines cost at your volume rather than in the abstract. A percentage take-rate is cheap on a small spend and expensive on a large one; a flat subscription is the reverse. Comparing headline prices without comparing structures is how brands end up on the wrong plan.
We publish competitor pricing only after a dated check against their live pricing page, and we date it on the page. Platform pricing moves, and a comparison that quietly goes stale is worse than no comparison, because it is confidently wrong.
Switching costs deserve a thought before you commit, too. A platform that holds your briefs, your creator relationships and your content history is one you will find harder to leave than the monthly price suggests, which is worth weighing while you still have the choice. Being able to export what you have produced, and to keep working with a creator you found, is a fair thing to ask about before signing up anywhere.
Creator supply in your specific niche matters more than the total roster size any platform advertises. A marketplace with tens of thousands of creators and forty in your category is, for your purposes, a marketplace of forty. The number worth asking about is the one in the category you are actually hiring for, and it is worth establishing that before committing to a subscription — on any platform, this one included.
