UGC open data: creator pay rates and job listings
Pitchlo publishes the pay and volume figures behind its UGC job board as free open data: three CSV files built from live job listings, updated on the 1st of every month and archived with a DOI. Reuse them under CC BY 4.0 with attribution.
The files
UGC pay by niche and pay basis (ugc_pay_by_niche_and_pay_basis.csv)
Listed pay for every niche, split by how the brand pays (per video, per project, monthly, hourly): listing counts and the 10th to 90th percentiles in US dollars. Charted on the UGC pay data page.
UGC job listings by month (ugc_job_listings_by_month.csv)
New listings per month by niche and by source type (brand-posted or sourced from public boards).
Weekly UGC market index (ugc_market_index_weekly.csv)
Open UGC jobs and listed pay, week by week. Charted on the UGC market index page.
How the data is built
- Job listings only: no creator, application or pitch data.
- Small groups are left out or blanked: counts under 10, and percentiles from fewer than 30 listings.
- Pay is the rate the brand listed, in the basis it listed it (per video, per project, monthly or hourly). It is not what any creator was finally paid.
- Monthly listing volume depends on which public boards were being collected that month, so the listings-by-month file carries a source-type column. Compare months within a source type.
