Real Crime Tales is seeking an experienced YouTube video editor specializing in true crime storytelling and high-retention editing. You will work with talking-head footage of a host narrating real criminal cases, transforming raw content into polished, engaging videos using strategic pacing, cuts, B-roll integration, sound design, visual effects, transitions, and color grading. The editing style should balance a polished talking-head format with modern true crime documentary aesthetics. The host remains the visual foundation while B-roll, crime scene footage, archival materials, photos, news reports, courtroom footage, and police bodycam clips are used intentionally to enhance storytelling and maintain viewer engagement. Techniques should include jump cuts for tighter delivery, subtle zoom effects on the talking head, quick punch-ins during high-energy moments, and strategic framing changes to prevent visual repetition. This is a fixed-rate project at $60 per completed video. US-based editors only.
