Job Description

UGC Creator Researcher Needed — Find 300 Highly Curated Creators for Marmalade Grove About Marmalade Grove Marmalade Grove is a citrus farm and small-batch marmalade house rooted in California’s Ojai Valley. The brand combines a real working citrus grove with a distinctive visual world centered around California citrus, seasonality, food, beauty, fashion, nature, hospitality, art, and the mythology of the orange grove. Marmalade Grove has been named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things, collaborated with Hermès on a custom campaign, and has appeared in Bon Appétit, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The New Yorker, and The TODAY Show. We are now building a highly curated network of UGC creators and tastemakers who can interpret the Marmalade Grove world in their own way. The Assignment Research and identify 300 U.S.-based creators who could be an exceptional creative fit for Marmalade Grove. This is not a scraping project, and we do not want a generic influencer database. Every creator must be manually reviewed. We care significantly more about: - Taste and creative point of view - Originality - Photography and composition - Short-form video quality - Storytelling - Natural on-camera presence - Ability to make food and products feel desirable - Ability to create beautiful branded content without making it feel like an advertisement Follower count is secondary. A creator with 3,000 followers and exceptional taste may be much more valuable to us than someone with 500,000 followers whose work does not fit the brand. Types of Creators We Want We are interested in two primary categories: UGC-first creators Creators who may have relatively small audiences but can produce exceptional photography and short-form video that Marmalade Grove could use across organic social, paid media, email, website, and other marketing channels. Tastemakers / creators with audiences Creators whose content is aesthetically aligned with Marmalade Grove and whose audience may also make them relevant for gifting, organic posting, affiliate relationships, or paid partnerships. Some creators may fit both categories. Please identify which category each creator belongs to. Marmalade Grove’s Creative World You will receive our 2026 visual mood board as a reference. Use it to understand the overall taste and sensibility of the brand, not as a literal color-matching exercise. The visual world includes elements such as: - Citrus and fruit - Food and ingredients - Flowers and botanicals - Natural sunlight and strong shadows - Warm amber, honey, marmalade, and caramel tones - Lemon and butter yellow - Olive and botanical greens - Cherry, raspberry, and deep burgundy - Cream and white - Occasional cool or powder blue - Glass, liquid, syrup, skin, fabric, and tactile textures - Editorial portraiture - Still-life compositions - Film-like or timeless photography - Intimate lifestyle moments - Beautiful tables and food - Fashion and beauty imagery - Understated luxury - Slightly unusual, artistic, or unexpected compositions Creators do not need to already use these exact colors. The color palette is directional only. More important is whether their work demonstrates: - Strong taste - Beautiful natural light - Excellent composition - Editorial framing - Tactile, sensorial imagery - A recognizable personal point of view - Thoughtful use of food, objects, people, or environments - A feeling of spontaneity rather than overproduction - Content that feels elevated but human - The ability to make an everyday ritual feel special - The ability to create compelling content without relying on standard UGC formulas Creator Categories to Explore Do not find 300 versions of the same creator. We want a diverse creative roster. Relevant creator categories may include: - Food and cooking - Baking - Hosting and entertaining - Cocktails and beverages - Fashion - Beauty - Fragrance - Lifestyle - Home and interiors - Gardening - Farmers markets / farm-to-table - Wellness - Travel - Photography - Art and design - Styling - Florals - Restaurants and hospitality - California lifestyle Someone does not need to call themselves a “UGC creator” to qualify. A chef, photographer, florist, stylist, artist, designer, or lifestyle creator with exceptional content may be just as relevant. What We Do Not Want Please avoid creators whose content is primarily: - Generic TikTok Shop content - Amazon-style product videos - Hard-sell UGC - Formulaic “3 reasons you need this” videos - Overly scripted testimonials - Generic influencer content - Trend-chasing without a recognizable point of view - Heavy text overlays - Artificial-looking studio UGC - Generic beige/minimal “clean girl” content - Content that looks identical to every other sponsored post - Creators selected primarily because they have large audiences We want taste before scale. Research Requirements Every creator must be manually reviewed. For each creator: 1. Review enough recent content
