Job Description
Problematic Pineapple LLC is seeking a creative, detail-oriented video editor and content repurposing specialist to transform professionally produced podcast interviews into engaging, high-quality content for YouTube and TikTok. The ideal freelancer will be able to repurpose interview footage into compelling short-form and long-form videos, maintain a polished and professional look, and help elevate our content for a disability-centered wellness and accessibility advocacy audience. This is an initial project with the potential for an ongoing working relationship as I continue expanding my speaking and media presence. Project Overview I have a completed, professionally edited 35-minute podcast interview, available in MP4 and MP3 formats. I'm looking for someone who can independently review the interview, identify its most compelling moments, and creatively package the content for social media. Desired Deliverables • 5–6 short-form videos: Identify and edit compelling excerpts optimized for TikTok and YouTube Shorts (vertical 9:16 format). • Professional editing: Incorporate engaging opening hooks, clean transitions, accurate and accessible captions, and tasteful visual enhancements. • YouTube packaging: Create a custom thumbnail and recommend an optimized title, description, keywords, and chapters for the existing full-length interview. • Content optimization: Suggest engaging titles, descriptions, and relevant hashtags for each short-form video. • Consistent branding: Maintain a polished, recognizable visual style aligned with Problematic Pineapple's identity. • Revisions: Include at least one round of revisions. Creative Direction My content focuses on disability, accessibility, inclusive wellness, and challenging conventional assumptions about health and well-being. I'm looking for someone with strong storytelling instincts who understands how to create engaging content without sacrificing nuance or authenticity. The ideal editor will be comfortable making creative decisions independently while respecting the original message. I prefer thoughtful, professional editing over excessive effects or sensationalized content. To Apply Please provide: 1. Examples of relevant podcast repurposing or educational/thought-leadership content you've edited. 2. Your proposed deliverables within the stated budget. 3. Estimated turnaround time. 4. Number of revisions included. 5. Whether you provide content strategy and clip selection or primarily technical editing. I'm especially interested in finding someone who can become a reliable creative collaborator for future podcast interviews, media appearances, and other video content. Thank you!
