Short Form Video Editor/ Content Creator for Global Children’s Book

Project Overview I’m a children’s book author and father looking for a creative short-form video producer and editor to help launch a newly published illustrated book and develop content for a potential ongoing series. Inspired by my family’s experiences living overseas, the book follows a young boy exploring 20 countries across the Middle East and North Africa. Through storytelling, illustrations, geography, food, language, and cultural discoveries, it encourages children ages 5 and older to become curious about the world. The larger goal is to build a recognizable educational brand that connects with parents, educators, and families. I’m looking for someone who can help shape the creative direction, develop original content ideas, and produce engaging videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Responsibilities Develop a short-form video strategy and content calendar. Edit existing book illustrations and author recordings into engaging videos. Create animations, map transitions, captions, and simple motion graphics. Develop hooks, short scripts, and creative concepts. Maintain a consistent visual identity across videos. Produce content supporting the book launch and future educational programming. Initial Deliverables 4–6-week content plan with at least 12 concepts. 8–10 edited short-form videos, approximately 15–60 seconds each. One 45–60-second promotional video introducing the book. Video captions, hooks, and suggested social media copy. Vertical videos optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Final exports and editable source files, with one revision round per video. Creative Themes Content could include: Exploring different countries through a child’s eyes. Fun geography and cultural facts. Learning simple Arabic words. A father’s reflections on raising a global citizen. Behind-the-scenes stories about the book. Illustrated adventures, character introductions, and future books in the series. I want content that feels authentic, visually compelling, educational, and engaging. I’m not looking for generic promotional videos. Ideal Candidate Experience creating short-form content for children’s brands, publishing, education, travel, or family audiences is preferred. Strong storytelling, editing, animation, and creative development skills are essential.
