YouTube Shorts Creator

I’m looking for a creative and reliable YouTube Shorts researcher/writer to help grow my YouTube channel, The Rabbit Hole Insider. The channel focuses on interesting, entertaining, and curiosity-driven topics — including celebrities, internet stories, viral moments, pop culture, strange events, and other topics that can turn into highly engaging Shorts. What I Need: For this project, I’m looking for someone who can: Research currently trending and high-interest topics that have potential for YouTube Shorts Come up with strong Short ideas and hooks Write concise, engaging 30–60 second scripts Research and find relevant video clips, images, screenshots, social media posts, etc. that can be used to tell the story Provide the source links for the clips/references Organize the clips and information clearly so they are easy for an editor to use Focus heavily on retention, curiosity, and strong hooks Look for topics that have a strong "I need to know what happened" or "wait, what?" factor My Role I will handle the voiceover for every Short. I can also provide topic ideas when I have them, but I want you to be proactive about finding trending topics and pitching ideas yourself. You will NOT be responsible for recording voiceover. Example Structure A good Short should generally have: HOOK STORY/BUILDUP REVEAL/TWIST STRONG ENDING The first few seconds are extremely important. I want scripts that immediately create curiosity rather than slowly introducing the topic. For example, instead of: "Justin Bieber recently attended Coachella..." I'd want something more like: "Justin Bieber just did something at Coachella that has the internet convinced he found a loophole..." The goal is to make people want to keep watching. Project I’m looking for 10 YouTube Shorts for the initial project. Each Short should include: 1. Topic/title idea 2. Strong hook 3. Around 60-90 second polished script 4. Relevant clip/image research 5. Source links for the footage/information 6. Simple notes explaining where each clip should be used I will provide the voiceover after receiving the completed scripts. What I'm Looking For You should: Understand YouTube Shorts and retention Be good at finding interesting/trending stories Know how to research celebrity/pop culture/internet topics Write conversationally rather than like a news article Understand how to create curiosity and open loops Be able to find useful footage quickly Have good judgment about what topics are actually interesting enough to make into a Short Experience with YouTube channels, TikTok, Instagram Reels, or short-form content is a plus. Budget $150 fixed price for 10 Shorts. If the first project goes well, I would like to continue working together on additional batches of Shorts. When applying, please include: 2–3 examples of Shorts/scripts you've worked on A brief explanation of how you find trending topics One example of a Short topic you would recommend for this channel * Confirm that you are comfortable working within the $150 budget for 10 Shorts I’m looking for someone who can become a long-term part of the channel rather than just completing one project.
