Investigative Journalist & Video Editor – $200

Job Description

We are seeking an established investigative journalist or video essayist with an existing media presence on social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X) to host, report, and edit a deep-dive investigative video project. You will serve as the lead on-camera reporter, breaking down a documented social media network of 84 accounts, cross-platform data, and targeted digital gatekeeping tactics within a specific creator niche. Responsibilities include analyzing provided screen recordings, datasets, and cross-platform evidence to write a facts-first investigative video script, recording professional and engaging on-camera segments delivering the investigation, and assembling host footage, screen captures, data visual overlays, and asset comparisons into a publication-ready video essay. You must possess an active social media presence or channel dedicated to journalism, commentary, or investigative video essays, strong on-camera presentation and reporting skills, and advanced proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro. This project is structured as a Work for Hire agreement, with full ownership of the final video, assets, and raw footage retained by the client. A standard Work for Hire and Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement must be signed prior to project launch.
