Job Description
Hi!! We’re looking for a reliable, visually strong short-form video editor to support Galaxy Chef, an indie game currently growing its social presence ahead of future conventions, community growth, and Kickstarter marketing. This is not a strategy/ideation role. You’ll receive raw footage + clear creative briefs from our Marketing/Social Strategist. Your job is to turn that into polished, social-first videos. PLEASE review these editing references before applying: We’re looking for someone comfortable with: Clean, aesthetic captions and typography Strong pacing and clip selection Subtle zooms, panning, punch-ins, and reframing Color correction/basic grading Music/audio and simple transitions Social-first vertical formatting Following creative briefs and revision notes Having a strong visual eye — fonts, spacing, composition, and overall polish matter! Bonus: Photoshop/Canva experience and ability to occasionally create collage/carousel-style social posts. Visual references for that style: Volume: approximately 25–30 videos/month, planned roughly one month ahead. Some videos may be replaced by carousel/static content if that’s also in your skill set. Budget: $10–$12 USD per completed video — cannot exceed this range. Please do not apply if you use AI-generated creative tools or AI clipping tools in your editing workflow. We want the creative/editing decisions to be made by you. When applying, please send: Your portfolio / previous editing examples (most important!)
