Job Description

I run a small studio launching a beginner craft course brand. I need ONE maker for two phases — please quote Phase A and Phase B SEPARATELY in your proposal. PHASE A — Prototype piece (first, small job) Make ONE hero product: a set of 2 punch needle coasters (~4 inch / 10 cm each) with a simple bold design (I will send the design). Materials rule — the heart of the job: the pieces must use the fabric / needle / yarn combination that makes loops HOLD with no glue backing. In your proposal, name the exact combination you will use (fabric type, needle brand + size, yarn weight + fiber) and why. Deliverables: - 8–10 honest phone photos (natural light is fine): finished set in your hand, on a table next to a mug, close-up front, close-up back. - 1 short video: you tug the loops firmly — they must stay in. - 1 vertical video (30–60s): you punching the piece (overhead shot). - The exact materials list with shop links. The physical pieces stay with you. I am buying the work + full usage rights to the photos and videos (ads, website, social — forever). PHASE B — Teach and film the full course (quote separately) A beginner course: ~12 lessons, 90–150 minutes of finished video. I provide the lesson plan, the project design, and a shot list. You teach on camera (your hands, your voice, clear spoken English) and film at your home/studio following the shot list. Outline: (1) Why loops fall out — the 4 causes, shown live · (2) The materials that hold: fabric × needle × yarn matching · (3) Setup: frame, stretching, needle length · (4) First stitches, yarn slack control · (5) Fixing holes and common mistakes · (6–10) The hero coaster project start to finish · (11) Finishing, backing, washing and care · (12) Next projects + printable patterns. Hard requirements: - Real hands, real materials. No AI-generated footage or images. - Full work-for-hire: all rights to the footage transfer to me (you may be credited as the instructor — we can agree this in writing). - Deliver RAW footage files (not only edited), plus up to 2 retake rounds. - Delivery within 3 weeks of the agreed start date. The $300 budget on this post is a PLACEHOLDER — your two quotes in the proposal are what I will judge. I am collecting 5–10 quotes this week and will choose on fit and price, not on speed of reply. SCREENING QUESTIONS (please answer in your proposal): 1. What fabric / needle / yarn combination will you use for the prototype, and why does it make loops hold? 2. Link to your own punch needle work (shop, Instagram, YouTube…). 3. Link to any video where you teach or explain something on camera. (If shortlisted, I will pay for a 1-minute sample clip before deciding.) 4. Your price and timeline for Phase A — and separately for Phase B.
