Job Description
YouTube and Social Video Generalist (contract, remote) We’re looking for one person to run our YouTube and social presence from planning through publishing. You’ll decide what to make, help produce it, and track what works. What you’ll do Own the content plan: topics, series, titles, thumbnails, and posting schedule Edit and finish videos: trims, captions, pacing, and short clips for YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and Instagram Turn longer recordings (talks, demos, lectures) into several shorter pieces Track views, retention, and click-through, and adjust the plan weekly Handle publishing, descriptions, and comment replies What you bring 2+ years growing a channel or social account, with examples you can show Comfort editing in Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut A good eye for hooks, titles, and thumbnails Ability to take raw footage to published with little hand-holding A plus: experience with technical, finance, or education audiences Budget The first video is a paid trial at $100. If it goes well, we’ll move to a per-video rate that grows with the scope and the results, and we’d like to make this a steady, ongoing arrangement. To apply Send 2 to 3 videos you edited or channels you grew, and one thing you’d change about ours. Please also tell us the per-video rate you’d expect for ongoing work. Two notes: $100 is on the low end for a strategist who also edits, so you’ll mostly attract early-career applicants. To get stronger candidates, keep the trial small, such as a short clip or one edit of existing footage, and say plainly that it’s a paid test with a real path to ongoing work. Asking for their expected ongoing rate helps you gauge the market before you commit to a number.
