NYC Event Photographer/Videographer – $50-$150/hr

ThingsBook is hosting a 2.5-hour creator and community event in SoHo, NYC on Friday, October 9, 2026 (5:00–7:30 PM) bringing together creators and enthusiasts across manga, anime, and comics. We are seeking an experienced NYC-based photographer and videographer to capture high-quality content throughout the event. You will document overall event atmosphere, candid creator interactions, attendees using the ThingsBook app, product activation, presentations, interviews, merchandise moments, and posed group photos. A strong emphasis on short-form vertical video content optimized for TikTok and Instagram Reels is required, with a focus on natural, energetic, and social-first storytelling rather than corporate aesthetics. Deliverables include edited event photography and edited short-form vertical video content. Availability for setup and behind-the-scenes coverage shortly before the event is preferred. Candidates should submit proposals specifying realistic deliverables based on the 2.5-hour event window.
