Job Description

We are launching a faceless YouTube channel focused on cinematic science, space, strange phenomena, extreme environments, future technology, and curiosity-driven “what if” content. We are looking for a creative video editor + AI content creator who can help us produce highly engaging short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels. This is NOT a basic slideshow or random stock-footage editing job. We want videos that feel like premium faceless science entertainment: cinematic visuals, real motion, strong pacing, sound design, captions, visual storytelling, and frequent scene changes that keep viewers watching. ### What You’ll Create Initially, we are looking for approximately 4–7 short-form videos per week, generally 30–60 seconds each. We will usually provide the topic, direction, script, and preferred narration voice. We also value someone who can improve hooks, pacing, scripts, or visual concepts when needed. Videos should include: - High-quality AI-generated visuals and/or AI video - Genuine movement inside scenes, not just zooming into still images - Strong first 1–3 second hooks - Fast but natural pacing - Cinematic editing and transitions - Clean animated captions - Background music and sound design - Visuals that closely match the narration - Consistent visual quality throughout each video - Vertical 9:16 delivery The overall style should feel cinematic, mysterious, polished, entertaining, and educational. ### Example Topics - What Happens If You Fall Into a Black Hole? - What If the Sun Suddenly Turned Blue? - The Planet Where It Rains Metal - What Would You See Falling Into Jupiter? - What If Gravity Suddenly Doubled? We are entertainment-first, but the science still needs to be reasonably accurate. ### AI / Editing Tools You may use tools such as Kling, Veo, Seedance, Higgsfield, Runway, Midjourney, Nano Banana, Pika, CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or other tools you believe produce the best result. We care much more about the quality of the finished video than which software you use. ### What We Do NOT Want Please do not apply if your videos are mainly: - Generic AI slideshows - Random stock clips - Repeated slow zooms on static images - The same visual concept throughout the entire video - Childish/cartoon-style visuals - Random AI imagery that does not match the narration - Fully automated videos with little creative judgment Every scene should help tell the story. ### Ideal Candidate You understand: - Faceless YouTube content - Short-form retention - Hooks and pattern interrupts - AI video generation - Visual storytelling - Captions and sound design - Pacing for Shorts/Reels/TikTok Strong English comprehension is important because the visuals need to accurately follow the narration. ### Budget & Long-Term Opportunity Our starting budget is approximately $200–$300 per month for the initial short-form workflow. We are looking for someone who wants a long-term relationship rather than a one-time editing job. If the quality is excellent and the channel grows, we are open to increasing the budget, increasing volume, and adding separately paid long-form YouTube videos. ### Paid Test Before hiring someone long-term, we plan to select a small number of candidates for a paid 30–45 second test video. Each candidate will receive the same script, style reference, and requirements. We will evaluate: - Visual quality - Creativity - Motion - Storytelling - Pacing - Captions - Sound design - Overall polish ### To Apply Please include: 1. Your 3 best faceless videos that most closely match this style. 2. Which AI image/video tools you currently use. 3. Approximately how many 30–60 second videos you can reliably produce each week. 4. Whether you can work within the $200–$300/month starting budget. 5. Whether you also have experience with 6–10 minute YouTube videos. 6. Briefly explain how you would visually approach a video titled “What Happens If You Fall Into a Black Hole?” Please start your proposal with the words FAR UNKNOWN so we know you read the full description. We are looking for someone creative who wants to help build the channel with us long-term, not simply complete editing tasks.
