Job Description

I’m an independent alt-R&B artist releasing a new song called “Mildew” and I’m looking for animators, graphic designers, and mixed media artists to make 15-30 short-form visuals for it. I’ve collected Instagram reels that show the style I want, and I’d like original, handmade-feeling versions inspired by them, made with my song. NO AI. Please read this part. No AI-generated or AI-assisted content of any kind. That includes AI images, AI video, AI upscaling or “generative fill,” AI in-betweening or auto-animation, and AI-written text or lyric visuals. Every visual must be built from your own design and animation work, your own photography or footage, or properly licensed assets. I will ask to see source or project files (layered PSD/AI files, After Effects, Premiere, Procreate, or Blender projects, etc.) to confirm the work is human-made. Using AI means immediate termination with no payment for that work. What I need: 15-30 finished short-form visuals for “Mildew,” in the style of my references Mixed media style: a blend of elements such as collage, photography, scanned textures, film grain, hand-drawn or hand-cut elements, typography, cutouts, and animation (2D, frame-by-frame, stop-motion style, or motion graphics) A good variety of looks and concepts, not 30 copies of the same template Delivered in vertical 9:16 format, ready to post Source or project files with every delivery Who should apply: Animators, motion designers, graphic designers, collage artists, and illustrators. You don’t need to do everything. If your strength is animation or design, tell me what you’d bring to the project. Style: Moody, nostalgic, aesthetic, and a little lowkey. Think film grain, soft color, tactile textures, and a dreamy, intimate feel that fits artists like Malcolm Todd, Steve Lacy, Dominic Fike, and Daniel Caesar. The target audience is Gen Z, especially high school and college-aged girls. The lyrics are intentionally open to interpretation, so I’m not looking for literal visuals that act out the words. Mood and atmosphere matter more than storytelling. Reference links (for style, pacing, and mood only): The song (“Mildew”): Requirements: Original and legally safe to use. Don’t copy another creator’s video directly. Use the references for style, pacing, and mood. Only use licensed or royalty-free fonts, footage, photos, and stock assets Include 1-2 rounds of revisions Ideal candidate: A real animator, motion designer, or graphic designer with a portfolio of mixed media, collage, or design-driven motion work (music visuals, album art, or social content is a plus) Skilled in tools like After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Premiere, Blender, or similar Can show your process (sketches, layers, work-in-progress) Can work consistently through a batch and match a reference style while keeping it original To apply, please include: Portfolio links showing animation, mixed media, or graphic design work (please only include human-made work) The tools and process you use Confirmation that you will not use AI in any part of this project Your price per visual, and any discount for the full batch How many visuals you can deliver per week
