Job Description

We are Resurface, a B2B software product that finds revenue buried in a company's CRM. We are hiring one producer/editor (or a small team) to make our flagship product demo video, plus its social cutdowns. This is an execution job at a high craft level, not a strategy job. You will receive a 17-page production brief that most clients never give you: a full scene-by-scene script with timings, the exact click path through the product, shot design, edit direction, brand colors and fonts, sample data, and an acceptance checklist. Your job is to make it look and sound excellent, and to push back where your experience says the brief is wrong. WHAT YOU ARE MAKING One master film, 2:45 to 3:00, 16:9. An on-camera presenter walks through a live screen demo of the product: uploading two spreadsheet exports, the analysis running, the findings, the dollar figures, the recovery plan. Plus: 60-second cutdowns in 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1; a 30-second 9:16 teaser; burned captions and SRT files; two thumbnail options; all project files. SCOPE 1. Pre-production: review the brief, help cast or source the on-camera presenter (or direct a remote self-tape), rehearse the screen demo. 2. Production: film the presenter (clean audio, soft key, shallow depth of field) and record the 4K screen capture of the product. 3. Post: assembly, two structured revision rounds, graphics and captions to our brand system, loudness-normalized mix, delivery of all versions and source files. WHAT WE PROVIDE The complete brief and script, the product environment and sample dataset, brand assets (logo, colors, fonts), and fast, decisive feedback. One point of contact with sign-off authority. WHO THIS FITS You have shipped at least one B2B or SaaS demo video where the product interface carries the story. You know how to make UI footage feel alive (pacing, push-ins, callouts) without drowning it in motion graphics. You treat captions, loudness targets, and delivery specs as craft, not chores. Work for hire; we own all deliverables and raw materials. HOW TO APPLY Applications that skip item 1 will not be reviewed. 1. Link ONE video you cut where the product UI carries the story, and tell us in two sentences what you did to keep the screen footage engaging. 2. Tell us whether you can source the on-camera presenter, or whether we should cast separately. 3. Your realistic timeline from brief-in-hand to master delivery. 4. One thing you would push back on in a typical demo-video brief.
