Videographer & Video Content Creator for Plastic Surgery & Wellness Practice

We are a high-end plastic surgery and wellness practice in San Diego looking for an experienced videographer and video content creator to help us build a professional library of video content for our social media, website, digital advertising, and other marketing channels. We are looking for someone who can do more than simply film. We want a creative partner who can help us determine the best shots, direct our physician and team on camera, capture compelling B-roll, and turn the footage into polished content that feels elevated, modern, authentic, and engaging. The majority of filming will take place at our San Diego office and will feature our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. James J. Chao, as well as members of our team and, when appropriate and properly consented, patients. Content We Want to Capture We would like to create a variety of content during filming, including: Educational Videos — Dr. Chao discussing procedures, treatments, common patient questions, misconceptions, recovery, candidacy, and other educational topics. Short-Form Social Media Content — Reels, Instagram/Facebook videos, short-form educational clips, FAQs, hooks, and other engaging content. Patient Testimonials — Professionally filmed patient stories and testimonials. Patient Experience Content — Consultation experiences, treatment journeys, office interactions, and other appropriate patient-focused content. Procedure/Treatment Content — Behind-the-scenes footage of appropriate treatments and procedures when permitted. Team Content — Introductions to our team, practice culture, behind-the-scenes footage, and day-in-the-life style content. Website Videos — Professional evergreen videos that can be incorporated throughout our website. Practice/Brand Video — A polished overview of the practice, Dr. Chao, our philosophy, and the services we provide. B-Roll Library — Extensive high-quality footage of Dr. Chao, our team, office, consultations, equipment, treatments, patient interactions, exterior/interior shots, and other footage that can be repurposed for future marketing. TV Commercial — We are also interested in producing a professionally filmed and edited television advertisement/commercial for the practice. Our Services Our practice spans several areas, so there is significant opportunity for content creation around: Plastic Surgery Facelift, neck lift, breast surgery, body contouring, and other cosmetic procedures. Wellness Medical weight loss, GLP-1 therapy, hormone optimization, and related wellness services. Longevity Peptide therapy and longevity-focused programs. Aesthetics Injectables, laser treatments, skincare, regenerative treatments, and other aesthetic services. What We Need From You We are looking for someone who can handle the project from filming through final delivery, including: Pre-production planning and shot-list development Recommendations for content opportunities On-site professional filming Direction/coaching for physician and team members on camera Professional lighting and audio Capturing extensive B-roll Video editing and post-production Color correction/color grading Audio cleanup and mixing Captions/subtitles for social media content Appropriate music and sound design Formatting videos for different platforms Short-form and long-form edits TV commercial editing Organized delivery of all raw footage and B-roll Delivery of final edited files in high resolution We would ideally like footage organized so that our internal marketing team and outside marketing partners can easily access and repurpose it in the future. Content Deliverables We are open to recommendations regarding the exact deliverable structure. Our goal is to maximize each filming session so that we leave with a substantial amount of usable content. For example, a filming session could potentially generate: Multiple educational videos with Dr. Chao 15–30+ short-form social clips Patient testimonial videos Website videos Practice/team footage A large B-roll library Advertising footage TV commercial footage We are interested in working with someone who understands how to batch content efficiently rather than approaching every video as an entirely separate production.
